Explore Caring Campus Opportunities to Impact Student Success

Dear Caring Campus Community,

I am honored to officially assume the role of CEO of the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), alongside Dr. Bola King-Rushing as President. Together, we will continue to build on the incredible legacy of Caring Campus as we partner with institutions across the nation to create meaningful change and improve student success.

Caring Campus offers customized coaching for staff, faculty, and administrators ensuring all employees are aligned in a shared commitment to their students. Colleges and universities can implement Caring Campus through self-funding or by participating in grant-funded opportunities.

Lawson State Community College staff and faculty are embracing Caring Campus to ensure students feel valued, supported, and welcomed on campus.

For institutions that have previously completed Caring Campus coaching, we also offer Caring Campus Refreshes to reinvigorate momentum and strengthen existing efforts. Additionally, our Caring Campus District model helps align District Offices with caring commitments to best support the community colleges and students they serve. To learn more about these opportunities, please contact me at [email protected].

We are also proud to offer Caring Campus Certification, which recognizes institutions that are creating exceptional cultures of care. All Caring Campus Network members are eligible for Certification – apply today!

“We wanted to pursue Certification because it’s something our community, faculty, staff, and students need to see. Not just that we’re talking about caring, but that we’re actively trying to get better at it. We want to be gold-certified next. We want to be the pinnacle of a Caring Campus.”

Dr. Derrick Worrels, Ranger College President

We look forward to recognizing our newly-certified institutions at the Caring Campus Conference 2026: Developing a Legacy of Impact, taking place November 11-13 in Nashville.

One of our conference’s defining strengths is hearing directly from Caring Campus institutions as they share the successes, challenges, and lessons learned from their own journeys. I encourage you to submit a proposal to present by Friday, October 9 and share your Caring Campus story.

The Caring Campus Conference 2026: Developing a Legacy of Impact will offer innovative strategies to impact student success on your campus.

I also want to thank the Greater Texas Foundation for becoming our newest sponsor, joining the Raikes Foundation and Lumina Foundation in helping make this year’s conference another unforgettable event. Register for the conference today to secure early bird pricing, and remember that institutions bringing a team of 10 or more receive additional discounts!

Finally, I would like to thank the Trellis Foundation for its continued investment in Caring Campus through a new grant that will expand our work into two additional Texas regions – Texarkana and Gulf Coast – helping even more community colleges and universities create lasting impact.

Thank you for your continued dedication to student success and Caring Campus. Connect with us today to learn more about how we can help your campus continue to build and nurture a culture of care.

Sincerely,

Ken Sherwood
