President's Message

Continued University Expansion

Dear Caring Campus Community,

We are proud to announce that the University of West Alabama (UWA) is preparing to launch their Caring Campus journey with us, slated to begin in summer 2024. We look forward to supporting UWA and applaud their dedication to improving success for all of their students.

The University of West Alabama joins Texas A&M University – Kingsville as pioneers in bringing Caring Campus to the university level, further expanding the program’s reach, and impacting higher education students nationwide.

Our Caring Campus work at the University of West Alabama is being supported by the ECMC Foundation, one of our incredible funding partners who share our commitment to promoting student achievement by building a strong foundation of connectedness and support at the colleges and universities that serve them.

We would not be able to offer our enhanced Caring Campus services without the generous support of our current funders, including the ECMC Foundation and Ascendium Education Group.

We want to thank both our current and past funders including the Ascendium Education Group, The ECMC Foundation, the Greater Texas Foundation, California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, and more, who have been instrumental in bringing vital Caring Campus principles and strategies to community colleges across the nation.

Our first Caring Campus Network webinar was a huge success, with over 150 participants! Attendees heard from guest speakers as they spoke about their successful Caring Campus implementation strategies and shared advice on how staff can capitalize on the momentum of Caring Campus within their current workload.

There is still time to sign up for our next Caring Campus Network webinar on April 5, which will provide faculty with tips, tools, and resources to increase excitement and engagement for Caring Campus at their colleges and universities, including community-building activities and mentoring programs. Attendees will also discover networking opportunities with colleagues from across the country.
