Caring Campus 2025: A Year of Growth and Institutionalization

Dear Caring Campus Community,

As we progress into 2025, we look forward to a year of growth as the programs we launched in 2024 continue to expand, offering Caring Campus colleges and universities new and innovative ways to serve students, institutionalize Caring Campus practices, and improve success for all.

This month, Inside Higher Ed highlighted the power of care in the classroom and its impact on student retention in their article, “Study: 6 Behavioral Changes Affect Student Retention, Morale on College Campuses.” This article underscores how establishing best practices and championing them among professors can impact student outcomes and faculty engagement, creating a more positive environment. Lawson State Community College is a proud Caring Campus, implementing practices and behaviors to increase student success.

Our Caring Campus Certification program offers colleges and universities the opportunity to showcase their dedication to student success through formal recognition of their implementation efforts. Institutions can continue applying for certification through March 1.

Registration is now open for our inaugural conference, Caring Campus 2025: Building a National Culture of Care, which takes place from November 12-14, 2025 in San Diego. This conference is set to be a standout event, offering attendees renowned keynote speakers, engaging working groups, and our first-ever Caring Campus Certification recognition ceremony. Spots are expected to fill fast, so be sure to secure your spot today by registering here.

Our Caring Campus Network (CCN) also offers a range of benefits, including certification eligibility, conference and Caring Campus Academy (CCA) discounts, exclusive webinar access, networking opportunities, and more. Current CCN memberships will expire on March 1 and can be renewed by your institution’s president by credit card or by contacting us starting Feb. 1. Those who wish to renew their CCN membership today can request an invoice by emailing nbrobst@iebcnow.org. Don’t miss the chance to continue leveraging these valuable resources to enhance student success.

Northeast Lakeview College staff man a Welcome tent for students, establishing a sense of connection on day one.

Join us on February 12 for our next webinar, “So You’re Thinking About Sending Your Team to the Academy?” This session will provide an in-depth look at the benefits of the CCA. Register here today!

And connect with us to learn more about how we can help your campus continue to build and nurture a culture of care.

Together, let’s make 2025 another incredible year for creating a culture of care at each of our institutions and improving student success.

Sincerely,

Brad Phillips, Ph.D.
