President's Message

The Expanding Impact of Caring Campus

Dear Caring Campus Community,

Caring Campuses across the nation are making remarkable strides in fostering a culture of care, creating welcoming environments where all students feel valued and supported. These efforts are translating into tangible results, with institutions reporting higher persistence, retention, and success rates. One of these colleges, Victor Valley College, is currently the fastest-growing community college in California. President Dr. Dan Walden attributes this growth largely to the college’s deep commitment to ensuring that students know they matter. Hear Dr. Walden’s insights on the transformative impact of Caring Campus below.

Caring Campus is expanding to a statewide approach! We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Virginia Community College System to introduce Caring Campus to financial aid counselors across all 23 community colleges in Virginia. These professionals will bring what they learn back to their campuses, strengthening student support across the state.

As our reach continues to grow, so too do our opportunities. To allow more colleges and universities to showcase their own efforts in increasing student success, we have extended the Caring Campus Certification application deadline to May 31 –  apply today!

Trinity Valley Community College is dedicated to fostering a culture of care on campus, ensuring all students are empowered to succeed.
