Caring Campus Milestones: Certification, Expansion, and Celebration

This spring has brought remarkable progress in Caring Campus work nationwide, as more colleges and universities fully embrace and celebrate their commitment to student success. Our Spring 2025 Newsletter highlights many of these outstanding achievements, featuring inspiring spotlights, impactful student success data, and more.

We are thrilled to announce the first recipients of Caring Campus Certification! Congratulations to Hartnell Community College, Ranger College, and Mission College on achieving a silver certification, and to Texas A&M University – Kingsville and Los Angeles Pierce College for earning a bronze certification. This recognition honors their steadfast dedication to fostering a culture of care and their commitment to Caring Campus principles.


Caring Campus Network (CCN) member colleges and universities can apply for Caring Campus Certification through Saturday, May 31. There is no charge to be certified. Don’t miss the chance to be recognized among these standout institutions and apply today!


Certified Caring Campuses will be celebrated at our inaugural Caring Campus Conference happening November 12-14 in San Diego, California. Register now to be a part of this milestone Caring Campus event and gain actionable strategies that enhance student success on your campus. We encourage you to renew your CCN membership to receive a significant discount on conference registration, along with access to valuable resources, webinars, and more.

Five institutions have earned Caring Campus Certification, including Texas A&M University - Kingsville, demonstrating their dedication to fostering a culture of care.

Caring Campus is entering into a new chapter with the launch of a statewide approach, ensuring that entire community college systems align their priorities and advance student success at a larger scale. This expansion marks a significant step forward, and we look forward to seeing its impact unfold.


I am deeply honored to have received the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges on April 2. This recognition reflects not only the initiatives and programs I’ve been privileged to contribute to throughout my career but also the power of institutional research, data-driven strategies, and a culture of care in transforming student outcomes. I am grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey.
