As California Community College Chief Student Services Officers gathered virtually for this year’s annual conference, Brad Phillips, President and CEO of the Institute for Evidence-Based Change, addressed their general session on Improving Racial Equity: A Caring Campus Approach. Sharing some new insights on the lack of progress in closing student achievement gaps and the real cost of racism, he highlighted how implementing Caring Campus behaviors can improve equity for all students.
