Maya Evans
Director of Growth Strategies, University of Wisconsin-Madison
Dr. Maya Evans currently serves as Director of Growth Strategies in the Division of Continuing Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this role, she is responsible for guiding strategic insight and action on the top priorities of the division and the university, identifying new avenues for growth and opportunities for continuous improvement, leading strategic and tactical planning processes, and supporting growth initiatives that produce incremental revenues. She previously served as Executive Director of Research and Planning at Oakton Community College (where she was deeply engaged in the practices of the Caring Campus Initiative), Assistant Professor of Political Science at Rhodes College, and Director of Institutional Research at Mount Mary University. She is a member of the Higher Learning Commission’s Peer Corps and, in 2018, she was recognized with the “40 Under 40” award by the American Association of Women in Community Colleges. Dr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington University in Saint Louis and a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
