As President at the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), Bola brings together colleges and universities across the country to strengthen student success. In his three years as Associate VP, he partnered with leaders, faculty, and staff to expand the reach of Caring Campus and advance IEBC’s mission of building cultures of care. With deep experience in higher education reform and collaboration, he works closely with CEO Ken Sherwood and other colleagues inside IEBC as well as with external partners to design strategies that foster equity, belonging, and institutional change. His leadership is grounded in a commitment to supporting educators and institutions in creating environments where all students can thrive. As an executive at IEBC, he enjoys the opportunity to live his values. We help educational institutions better connect with students so that the students’ opportunities for success are supported and broadened.

Bola holds a doctorate in English with an emphasis in Technology and Society from UC Santa Barbara. He started his career as an educational technologist and has served as both staff and faculty in the California Community College System. He has been with IEBC since 2022.
