President’s Messages

Caring Campus continues to expand in meaningful and exciting ways across higher education. We have recently seen it take root at Tohono O’odham Community College, our first Tribal college; MiraCosta College through a Caring Campus Refresh; and Bossier Parish Community College, where more than 80 staff, faculty, and administrators will soon come together for an in-person Caring Campus Academy.

Soon, our campuses will once again buzz with the energy of students eager to learn, connect, and grow. As we prepare for their arrival, I invite you to lean fully into your Caring Campus commitments — so that every student, in every interaction, feels seen, supported, and truly part of our community.

We are eagerly looking ahead to the Caring Campus Conference 2025: Building a National Culture of Care, where faculty, staff, administrators, and researchers from across the country will gather to share ideas and strategies for fostering student success through care and connection.

As the 2024-25 academic year comes to a close, we celebrate a year marked by meaningful progress, with more colleges and universities joining the Caring Campus family to foster environments where students feel supported, seen, and set up for success.

This spring has brought remarkable progress in Caring Campus work nationwide, as more colleges and universities fully embrace and celebrate their commitment to student success.

Caring Campuses across the nation are making remarkable strides in fostering a culture of care, creating welcoming environments where all students feel valued and supported. These efforts are translating into tangible results, with institutions reporting higher persistence, retention, and success rates.

Caring Campus continues to be a leading framework for higher education, helping to drive student success nationwide. Its influence continues to expand as Caring Campus leaders share insights on student retention, persistence, and completion at major conferences.

As we progress into 2025, we look forward to a year of growth as the programs we launched in 2024 continue to expand, offering Caring Campus colleges and universities new and innovative ways to serve students, institutionalize Caring Campus practices, and improve success for all.
