At the League for Innovation in the Community Colleges conference this week, a panel addressed Caring Campus and the important role of Staff. IEBC President/CEO Brad Phillips discussed “Taking the Lead: How College Staff Implement a Caring Campus.” Researcher Elizabeth Barnett from the Community College Research Center, Teachers College, Columbia University presented “Findings from Research on Caring Campus/Staff.” Irvine Valley College Classified Senate past president Amy Hunter identified the many layers of the Irvine College Caring Campus approach and noted “It is culture change. Everything we do is through the lens of Caring Campus.”
