Loretta P. Adrian

President, Coastline College (retired)

Dr. Adrian has just retired after completing her eleventh year of presidency at Coastline College.  She has served in various leadership roles in higher education for the past 25 years with an extensive background in student services and a history of successful collaborations with instruction. She has worked in several community colleges in California as well as at a private university.

Dr. Adrian has been actively involved in state and national professional organizations, including as a Board member of the California Community Colleges CEO Board.  Shas served as a chair and member of several accreditation peer review teams, and as chair of several IEPI Performance Review Teams. In addition to her higher education background, Lori Adrian worked as an intercultural trainer/project director for the U.S. Peace Corps for six years. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education from the Claremont Graduate University (in a joint program with San Diego State University), and a master’s degree in Communication Theory from the University of the Pacific.
