Caring Campus (CC) Network

The Caring Campus Network (CCNetwork) is a way for IEBC to expand its support for Caring Campus institutions beyond regular coaching and consultations. It is a membership program designed to connect Caring Campus colleges and universities to one another.

The aim of the Network is to provide resources that support member schools’ institutionalization and sustainability of Caring Campus.

Network member institutions will learn from one another, improving and accelerating their engagement in Caring Campus.

FAQs:

» What is CC Certification?
Caring Campus Certification is IEBC’s formal recognition of the resources and efforts a college or university has put into its Caring Campus implementation. There are four levels of certification: Certified, Bronze-Tier Certified, Silver-Tier Certified, and Gold-Tier Certified. When an institution completes its first set of Caring Campus implementation coaching sessions, it will become a Certified Caring Campus. CCNetwork membership will also qualify an institution to receive or maintain basic-level certification.

» How do we earn higher-level certification?
Member institutions can apply for higher-level certification as a way to recognize and celebrate their ongoing dedication to Caring Campus. The application is a self-study questionnaire that collects information and evidence regarding the institution’s levels and types of Caring Campus involvement, activities, and institutionalization. Each item in the questionnaire is scored according to a standard rubric, which describes score threshholds and specific items that are required at each certification level.

» Do we have to go through the certification process every year?
No. The certification earned from a particular application will last for three years, after which the institution must recertify. However, an institution can apply to earn a higher level of certification at any time.

» Is there an extra fee for certification?
No. There are no additional charges for either the certification application or the permission to use the emblems and logos associated with your institution’s certification level.

» Who from my institution will have access to the database?
Your institution will have a single password to the membership site that can be used by anyone with an associated email address. However, only Caring Campus liaisons or designees will be able to add or update items listed in the database.

» What are the virtual roundtables?
Throughout the calendar year, IEBC will host 6-8 online events, such as webinars, and discussion forums, that are intended to teach, inform, and inspire individuals.
