IEBC President/CEO Brad Phillips spoke at the San Juan College Spring 2022 Convocation in Farmington, New Mexico to an appreciative audience. His presentation, “Creating a Caring Campus: How Faculty and Staff Change Lives,” reaffirmed the crucial roles educators play in their students’ lives. Dr. Philips told the audience about the prevalence of “imposter syndrome” among students, who enroll in college to improve their lives, but don’t believe they really belong in college. By developing and sustaining the Caring Campus culture on their campus, students receive the support they need to be successful. Staff, faculty, and college leaders also benefit from the same support system.
