Chancellor’s Office Expands ‘Caring Campus’ Partnership with IEBC to Additional California Community College
San Diego, Calif. – The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) is expanding its partnership with the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), implementing the ‘Caring Campus’ Initiative in California with an additional $500,000.

The February 2020 Newsletter details the partnership expansion between IEBC and the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO), implementing the ‘Caring Campus’ Initiative in California with an additional $500,000.The new funding will support the addition of 18 new community colleges to the program, as well as providing ongoing support to the 18 original participating colleges, empowering one-third of all California community colleges to be ‘Caring Campuses.’

The December 2019 Newsletter highlights the expansion of Caring Campus nationwide with a second grant from Ascendium Education Group that supports a focus on faculty, expands the work with staff, and supports a CCRC partnership to gain a better understanding of how the initiative works to change college culture and improve student outcomes. IEBC partnered with the Research and Planning Group for California Community Colleges (RP Group) with two workshops by IEBC President Brad Phillips on the power of using locally developed leading indicators. These leading indicators impact lagging indicators, ensure positive outcomes and advance student success.

Community colleges launch ‘Caring Campus Initiative’ across the U.S.
Ten community colleges across the U.S. are now hard at work with the Institute for Evidence- Based Change (IEBC) to incorporate the ‘Caring Campus Initiative’ into their student success efforts for the fall 2019 semester.
